Download Datasheet Product Description The Axstor AX -DC Hot Swap SATA II Drive Cage is unique in the industry, allowing drives to be quickly inserted without the need for a drive tray / carrier. Simply take the Hard Disk from it's original packaging and insert in to the drive cage. The AX-DC has a unique patented SATA connector that allows more than 40,000 insertions without damaging the disk drive connector. The AX-DC Hot Swap Drive cage as in internal product designed to be installed in a PC case or similar, as used in the Axstor Ai-Lite Series The AX-DC is available in 2 models: AX-DC-3 is a 3 Bay Hot Swap SATA II unit that occupies just 2 x 5¼ half height Drive bays AX-DC-4 is a 4 Bay Hot Swap SATA II unit that occupies just 3 x 5¼ half height Drive bays (pictured top) Both can be connected to either on-board SATA connections or to third party RAID Controllers such as the 3ware 9650SE The AX-DC-4 is most suited to RAID controller applications as almost all RAID controllers come in multiples of 4 Channels. AX-DCE-4 External Hot Swap Unit	AX-DCE provides an easy solution for presenting SATA drives externally. The PC hanging bracket has 4 internal SATA connectors which will accept SATA cables from either onboard SATA ports or from internal RAID controllers, the 4 ports are presented externally as a single MultiLane connector.
